Jump Start Your Graduate Education!

Our accelerated programs allow students to begin their graduate education as an undergraduate, saving both time and money.

The accelerated program allows up to 9 credits to be double counted towards the undergrad degree and the graduate degree.

In most cases, only 21 credits will remain to receive a graduate degree once a bachelor’s is earned.

There are currently five accelerated program options:

Who is Eligible?

IS and BTA undergraduate students in the Department of Information Systems
Undergradute students in the Department of Computer Science
Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA for consideration
Visit each program webpage for specific requirements as they have their own admission process

UMBC Alumni Scholarship
- $1000 towards first semester of graduate studies
Online MS Education Grant
- $1500 grant the first year of the graduate program
- Funds applied to cost of tuition and are split evenly over the first two semesters
- Can be combined with the UMBC Alumni Scholarship
- Only available for students enrolled in the Online MS Program
Flexible
- Full-time or Part-time
- Start now and finish later

How Can I Enroll?

Deadlines for applications to the combined programs are December 15 and June 15.
