Summer and Fall 2021 Semesters

Due to Covid-19 and UMBC’s mostly remote operations, our department’s undergraduate advising will be virtual for the Summer21 and Fall21 semesters. You will still receive the same great service from our advisors.

Fall 2021 Advising

There are multiple ways to receive advising remotely.

1. You can email your advisor with questions
2. Make an appointment via the links below
3. Visit virtual walk in office hours

For each advisor listed below, you will see their email address, a link to schedule advising appointments, and a link to their personal Webex room to be used during their walk-in office hours.

To schedule an appointment:

• Click on one of the Google Appointment Calendar links.
• Scroll through the calendar until you find an available time slot and sign up for a meeting with the advisor.
• When you sign up, you will see a link to the advisor’s personal Webex meeting room. At the designated time, go to the Webex personal meeting room linked here. You will enter into a lobby waiting area. The advisor will be notified and will admit you into the meeting once they have helped the previous student.

To meet your advisor during their walk-in office hours:

• Go to the personal meeting room link given below at the time of the walk-in hours.
• You will enter into a lobby and will be admitted to meet the advisor in the order in which students come to the office hours.
